My Very First Stitch Fix Review

After seeing so many wonderful blog posts and hearing my friends rave about their Stitch Fix experiences I decided to give it a try. I loved it! The pieces that my stylist Hannah selected for me were just what I needed to add my wardrobe.

What is Stitch Fix?

Stitch Fix is a styling service that selects and sends five items to you based on your style profile and Pinterest style boards. When you sign up for the service you fill out a style profile with your preferred styles, sizes, and links to your Pinterest board. Your stylist uses this information to select five items, both clothing and accessories, and sends them your way. You then get to try on your new clothes in the comfort of your own home. Your stylist also includes a note on your items and style cards with different ways to style your pieces. You select what you would like to keep and send back what you don't want to keep in the prepaid envelope. A $20.00 styling fee is charged when your items are sent to you. If you keep any of the items the $20.00 styling fee is applied towards your first item. If you want to keep all five items you receive a 25% discount.

August Stitch Fix Review

For this fix I asked my stylist for Zooey Deschanel type items. Think cute dresses and fun prints. I also asked if I could possibly get a knee length denim skirt, because for some reason those are impossible to find. My stylist found just the right pieces that for me were Zooey Deschanel style. Sadly she was unable to find a denim skirt for me, but sent me some cute skinny jeans instead.

#1 Market and Spruce Colbri Floral Print Sleeveless Top, $44.00

When I first pulled this out of my box I wasn't sure I would like it. It was orange and normally I don't wear orange, but when I put it on I was pleasantly surprised. It was just loose enough and I liked that it was longer in the back.  I've paired this top with item number two...

#2 Kensie Jeans Johnny Regular Length Skinny Jeans, $88.00

I love a good dark wash jean and these are very dark, almost black. They had a good amount of stretch which is good. They were just a wee bit tight, but I felt that I could fit into them comfortably if I just worked out a little bit.

#3 Pomelo Brook Dot Print Tie - Waist Top, $54.00

I love this top! I had seen it on another Stitch Fix review so I was very excited when I found it in my box.  It is black and white polka dots so it is very versatile. I can see myself pairing this with either a cardigan or a blazer to transition this top for fall.

#4 Pixley Karolina Spaghetti Strap Polka Dot Dress, $68.00

This dress fit the definition of Zooey Deschanel style. I loved it as soon as I pulled it out of the box. It has a lot of details that made it great. It is made of a great soft material that flows perfectly and has a panel of elastic in the back that makes it very comfortable. I normally don't wear spaghetti straps, but I knew I would be wearing the dress with a cardigan. I have paired it with one of my own cardigans and necklace.

#5 Octavia Henry Birds on Branch Infinity Scarf, $28.00

This was the first thing that I pulled out of my box. I am obsessed with birds (see the birds on the my wall in the pictures above) so I knew that this Fix was going to be great when I saw this scarf. I can see myself pairing this with many of my dresses and cardigans.

The winners were...all five! I didn't want to send anything back so I kept all five items and got a 25% discount. I signed up for bimonthly fixes so I can't wait for my next box of goodies!
